Just bought our second soft collar for our pittie who has very finicky skin (no surprise). My only improvement would be this: the small “thank you” tag is made out of very irritating fabric (even for me), and the exposed edge on the inside rubs on her neck and drives her nuts. I took a seam ripper and removed the tag. Thank You tag is a cute idea, but it should be made out of something softer. Thanks!
Absolutely love your collars and leashes
Fits great. Perfect for my Danish/Swedish farmdogs.
We have purchased one for each of our two dogs. One is a low key girl who really doesn’t need a full harness and seems happy with the new collar that’s so easy to put on. The other girl is a younger, high energy dog that pulls and hates harnesses. We hate just hooking a leash onto her regular collar, as she likes to pull and we don’t want to hurt her neck. She is very compliant with her new walking collar. She walks comfortably with it but, when she pulls, this walking collar is gentler on her neck. She also seems to pull less. Well made, nice colors, soft but sturdy fleece around the neck. We love Gold Paw products! We’ve purchased many GO fleece shirts for our late pups over the years. We now live in the South and our current dogs don’t often need any kind of coat in our mild winter weather.
I adopted an older stray Chihuahua mix who had had recent mammory surgery which a harness rubs and exacerbates inflammation in that area. My parents previously had a greyhound and used a martingale collar and I thought that would work well on my 12 pounders long neck. I like the soft padded material. I’m glad I got the XS-extra small, I was not sure ordering because was close to Small measurements too. But XS is the proper fit. I now need to find a small stretchy leash with the proper clip for easier attachment. I use a stretchy cat leash because she’s so small and the clip is inadequate for the double loop closure. I have seen single loop closing Martingale’s that would be easier, but this Goldpaw design is soft and nice materials against a dog’s neck, especially for a small dog.
